- This again? WTTG/FOX5’s Wisdom Martin reports that an inmate was released from the D.C. Jail by mistake on Friday, which brings to mind the half a dozen instances this happened back in ’07.
- DC Agenda covers the latest development in the Robert Wone case, which is that Judge Lynn Leibovitz denied a motion to dismiss conspiracy and obstruction of justice charges against Joseph Price, Victor Zaborsky and Dylan Ward. See also Who Murdered Robert Wone? for more details from Friday’s status hearing, which ended up being largely over shadowed by Gilbert Arenas’ courtroom appearance.
- 14th and You offers a thoughtful look on what’s happening with retail development on 14th Street NW these days. “Ultimately, what you are left with is a neighborhood with an increasing number of higher-end bars, restaurants, lounges, banks and chain retailers (hello, Room and Board) and fewer of the boutique, locally owned establishments and arts-related businesses such as Go mama go! that attracted many to the neighborhood in the first place.”
- GGW covers a bill from Tommy Wells that would make it finally legal for residential permit holders to park up to 25 feet from from the edge of any corner at night, even if the parking signage prohibit parking closer than 40 feet.
