President Obama and Vice President Biden.

Talk about holding court. When the POTUS makes an appearance at a Georgetown game, it’s tough to decide whether to keep an eye on him or the game. And if you’re a big name and also in the building, well then you are obligated to come over for the inevitable photo op.

The crowd was all about watching Obama mill around courtside, chatting up plenty of people DCist recognized — Vice President Joe Biden, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, Senior Advisor David Axelrod, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty, and Washington Post writers Michael Wilbon and Mike Wise — and a bunch more. According to ESPN, Obama ate popcorn and eschewed “the luxury suites that government officials sometimes prefer” for his everyman seats about six inches from the floor. Those watching the game at home got a lot more Barack, including the Prez telling CBS hoops analyst Clark Kellogg that he was coming for his job when his time in office was up.

Alright, Mr. President: now you’ve been to Georgetown, George Washington, and Wizards games — the Caps have to be next. Right?
