We were let down by a recent failed attempt to start up a new D.C. to Philly & Wilmington discount bus line, but for regular Philadelphia travelers, some much better news this week. Via the tip line, we find that MegaBus has announced it will begin direct service between D.C. and Philly on March 21. Posted schedules indicate the company will begin by offering four different departure times in both cities, including an early morning bus.

With the announcement that MegaBus is entering the D.C. to Philadelphia market, could competitor BoltBus be far behind?
