Good morning, Washington. So, how was your commute into work? The Washington Post is calling today’s travel conditions “one of the biggest tests of his mayoral term” for D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty. We kinda think the real morning test will come once the feds decide they don’t need that 2-hour delay. Luckily, yesterday’s storm didn’t amount to much of anything, and with temperatures expected to rise well into the 40s through the course of this week, that should provide a welcome bit of melting. But could we go from Snowpocalypse to Floodpocalypse just like that? Fingers crossed the melting takes place at just the right pace. In the meantime, don’t assume your commute will take a normal amount of time.

To School or Not to School: Sounds like parents are either outraged that school is not opening today, or they’re outraged that it is. We’re guessing the divide cuts pretty evenly between moms who work and those who don’t. Which school districts didn’t open this morning? Alexandria schools are closed today, while Fairfax and Montgomery counties opened under a two-hour delay. DCPS opened on time.

Electronic Harassment Could Become a Crime in Md.: Maryland lawmakers are considering legislation that would make using things like Twitter or Facebook to leave harassing messages a crime, the Examiner reports. Our first thought: it isn’t already against the law? Apparently not, as the bill seeks to ‘expand the definition of electronic harassment to include making an “Internet transmission or posting with the intent to harass.”‘ We’re looking at you, commenters!
