- Prince of Petworth reports on the sudden closing of Polly’s on U Street, calling it “really shocking.” I know the bar had its defenders, but I’ll confess I stopped going there years ago after too many visits featured rude service, unreliable beer taps and not great prices ($14 for a mediocre salad?). Just my (admittedly anecdotal) experience, but I’m not all that surprised to hear it didn’t make it.
