The National Enquirer is feeling its oats these days. Media Bistro says that the tabloid rag, which won accolades for targeting a figure more abominable than even the misunderstood Bat Boy, is considering opening a bureau in the District. This city doesn’t much lack for media outlets, but the National Enquirer would bring the investigative scrutiny that it typically reserves for Brangelina’s brood to the august halls of the House and Senate. Funny: the woman who argued the loudest that the National Enquirer should win a Pulitzer for its takedown of Edwards, Emily Miller, is the same woman Natty Enq executive editor Barry Levine named as his ideal candidate to head the bureau. Comity!
