- Drama in the non-profit world, as Mid-Atlantic Make a Wish Foundation President and CEO Catherine Martens was fired this morning, and most of the local board has resigned, WTOP reports.

- We may all be using fewer plastic bags, but the Anacostia River is even more gross than usual right now thanks to post-storm debris, WJLA reports. “And, according to environmentalists, what you can see is just scratching the surface. They are even more concerned about all the chemicals that are seeping into this river daily from places like the city’s big snow piles at RFK stadium.”
