>> At this month’s “Moneytown” at Dahlak (1771 U Street NW), DJ Nitekrawler will be teaming up with the soon-to-be departed from D.C., Almighty Dollah. Per usual, funk and soul dance records are on the agenda. Free, 10 p.m.

>> “If I Ruled the Blogosphere” will be a panel discussion involving several national hip-hop bloggers and the question of how to utilize the blog medium to promote artistry and social change. The venue will be Busboys and Poets‘ 14th Street NW location. $10, 4 p.m.
>> There are a number of notable Howard University alums in the music world, but Roberta Flack might be at the top of the pyramid. Having made a name for herself in the 1970s, Lauryn Hill brought her “Killing Me Softly” to a new generation. She’ll be performing with several other acts, including Eric Roberson and N’dambi, and an orchestra at Howard’s Cramton Auditorium. $45-$55, 7 p.m.
>> DJs Stylus, Meistro and Deep Sang will be taking folks at Dahlak (1771 U Street NW) on a musical journey through the funky sides of Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico and West Africa during their monthly “Sol Power” session. Free, 9 p.m.
