  • A picture is finally starting to emerge of what led to last night’s massive shooting on South Capitol Street. The Examiner says the whole thing appears to have started with the March 22 fatal shooting death of 20-year-old Jordan Howe, and that Howe may have been killed over something as trivial as a piece of costume jewelry. “Police and neighborhood sources said that Howe was shot in a dispute over a bracelet. Authorities have since charged Sanquan Carter, 19, with second-degree murder. A few days after that shooting, Carter’s older brother, Orlander, was shot in the head, but survived. Authorities believe that when he recovered, he and three friends decided to take revenge.”
