MUSIC: The Smith Westerns take to the the Black Cat backstage with So Cow and the Cheniers tonight at 8:30 p.m., $10.
Or head down to the U Street Music Hall at 9 p.m. to catch the Plant Music Showcase, featuring Stretch Armstrong, Dominique Keegan (The Glass), and Kap10Kurt. $5.
HEARINGS: The last of a series of Metro public hearings are happening in two places tonight: All Souls Unitarian Church, Pierce Hall (1500 Harvard Street NW) and the Montgomery County Executive Office Building Cafeteria (101 Monroe Street, Rockville, Md.)
These hearings constitute your last chance to weigh in in person on proposed fare hikes and service reductions for FY2011. An open house at both events starts at 6:30 p.m., with the hearing starting at 7 p.m.
