MONDAY
>> It’s interesting to see artists go through genre changes. Tim Barry had been making eardrums bleed in the punk band Avail but now performs more country-tinged numbers as a solo artist. He’ll be at the Black Cat tonight. 8:30pm. $10
>> 9:30 Club: Are they punk? Are they Americana? Do they really really just love the Jesus and Mary Chain a whole lot? Doesn’t matter, because Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has already sold out.
TUESDAY
>> Two of our favorite local acts who toy with mixing elements of the experimental with the accessible, True Womanhood (***) and Hume (***) will both be at the Black Cat. True Womanhood will also be celebrating the full release of their EP, which previously not could not be found at places like iTunes. This trio is really starting to hit their stride and their performance at the Strathmore mansion opening for Exit Clov was the tightest we’ve seen them. 8:30pm, $10.
>> 9:30 Club: The Temper Trap with Florence & the Machine. SOLD OUT
