MUSIC: Locals True Womanhood and Hume hit the Black Cat‘s backstage tonight at 8:30 p.m. DCist has profiled both bands as part of our Three Stars series. Richmond’s Hot Lava opens. $10.

TV: Catch a sneak preview of the spring premiere of the wildly popular FOX show Glee at Arlington Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse (2903 Columbia Pike Arlington, VA 22204) tonight at 7 p.m. Tickets must be purchased online ($15 plus a $3 service fee) since proceeds will go to support the Grammy Foundation charity. Tragically, no alcohol will be served at this event.

FOOD & DRINK: Bruce Williams from Williams Bros Brewery arrives in all his Scottishness at the Brickskeller tonight with cask ales and a new selection of bottled beers. 7 p.m., $35. Fingers crossed he wears a kilt.

READINGS: The Smithsonian brings in brothers Matt and Ted Lee tonight to offer cooking tips from their latest book, The Lee Bros. Simple Fresh Southern: Knockout Dishes with Down-Home Flavor. NPR’s Linda Wertheimer moderates, in case the salivation gets out of hand. Tickets are $25 and the event will be held in the S. Dillon Ripley Center (1100 Jefferson Dr. SW). 6:45 p.m.

Borders embraces the vampire craze with a reading and signing by Christopher Moore for his new book, Bite Me: A Love Story tonight at 7:30 at the Baileys Crossroads location (5871 Crossroads Center Way).
