>> The U Street Music Hall looks to be answering a lot of D.C. folks’ prayers for a consistent dance music venue. On deck for tonight’s edition of “Red Fridays” is DJ Stylus. TBA, 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> D.C. native YahZarah has been steadily building her brand with her own releases as well as well-received collaborations with the likes of The Foreign Exchange. With a new album, YahZarah Presents: The Ballad of Purple St. James, due to be release in the near future, she’s starting her promotional process. She’ll be performing acoustically at Peachez Cafe & Lounge in Upper Marlboro. $25 in advance, 7 p.m.

Sunday:
>> Silhouette Brown isn’t a person but rather the conception of West London-bred producers Dego and Kaidi Tatham, as well as writing by Bembe Segue. With a new album, two, Dego will be on hand at Tabaq for a special performance along with opening act, Selective Intelligence. $12 in advance, 7 p.m.

>> John “Jellybean” Benitez is the man responsible for producing Madonna’s “Holiday,” among a number of other hits. He’ll be on the turntables at the Eighteenth Street Lounge. Free, 9:30 p.m.

>> George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will be parking their spaceship outside of the 9:30 Club this evening. $40, 7 p.m.
