MUSIC: David Gedge is in town with a resurrected The Wedding Present to play through the band’s entire, masterful Bizarro album. The Jet Age opens the show at the Black Cat. 9 p.m., $15.

The Velvet Lounge hosts The Caribbean, Ryan Holladay of Bluebrain, Twins of a Gazelle with DJ sets from Baby Alcatraz and Kid Congo Powers. 10 p.m. 21+, $8.

JAZZ: CC Booker III, a soul jazz outfit whose chief influences are King Curtis, Ray Charles, and Booker T & The MGs, will be at Twins Jazz tonight and Saturday celebrating the release of its latest album. Check out our full preview. 9 and 11 p.m. sets. Tickets are $17 + $12 minimum/surcharge.

COMEDY: The Three Chord Comedy happy hour is back tonight, featuring Seaton Smith, Andy Kline, Tyler Richardson, and Eli Sairs. At the Velvet Lounge, 7 p.m., $4.

ART: Tonight’s Hirshhorn After Hours party is of course already sold-out. But you can always try your luck hanging out by the entrance looking sad and hope to snag an extra ticket from someone. 8 p.m. to midnight.
