A man held up the Game Stop on Maryland Avenue NE at gunpoint on Friday, and D.C. police are now circulating a photo of the suspect they’re seeking in the case.
The armed robbery took place at about noon on Friday, April 9. Police say the suspect entered the store, drew a handgun from a backpack and demanded money. The two employees inside the video game store handed over an unknown amount of cash, and the suspect ran off. No one was injured.
There was, however, a working surveillance camera inside the store, so police are now looking for this guy: he’s described as a medium complexioned black male, approximately 5’10” in height, with a bush style haircut. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, carrying a black backpack, and armed with a silver colored handgun. Police say he should should be considered armed and dangerous.
