Photo by Mr. T in DCEarlier this afternoon, we reported that Comet Ping Pong is temporarily unable to serve alcohol due to an issue with its liquor license from the city. Turns out, Comet is not alone. Danielle Balmelle, Program Manager with the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration, tells us that a couple of other restaurants have had their liquor licenses temporarily shut down this week due to a failure to renew.
Along with Comet, Spezie (1736 L St. NW) and Madjet (1102 U St. NW) are unable to serve alcohol legally until Monday at the earliest.
