MOVIES: Filmfest DC offers a whole slew of options tonight. Head to E Street Cinema for Air Doll or No One Knows About Persian Cats, which was “Winner of the Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard Special Jury Prize” (whatever that means). Both movies begin at 6:30 p.m.

The 14th and V Busboys and Poets is airing the environmental documentary Tapped tonight, 6 p.m. But come at 5 p.m. with an empty plastic bottle of water and trade it for a reusable “Klean Kanteen.”

FOOD & DRINK: Eatonville Restaurant continues their Food & Folklore dinner series tonight, 6:30 p.m., with “Sophisticated Ladies And The Food of the Harlem Renaissance.” The dinner theme ties in with Duke Ellington’s musical Sophisticated Ladies, which is currently playing at the Arena Stage (though no performance tonight). Enjoy four courses at $45 per person while you hear from guest speaker A’Lelia Bundles, news producer, author, and great-great-grand-daughter of Madame C.J. Walker. Reservations required.
