ART: Local arts non-profit Critical Exposure is celebrating its special anniversary show, 5 Years, 5000 Images, with a big reception tonight from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Edison Place Gallery (702 8th Street NW). The exhibit showcases fives years of photographs taken by youth in Critical Exposure’s programs. A $35 donation is asked for attendance at the reception, and includes wine, beer and appetizers. You may want to donate ahead of time, since only checks are accepted at the door. DCist is a proud sponsor of this event.

READING: Outrageous and unapologetic comedian Sarah Silverman discusses and signs her new book, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee, at Borders Books and Music (18th & L streets NW), 6:30 p.m.

HAPPY HOUR: The Phillips Collection (1600 21st Street NW) is hosting one final Green Happy Hour from 5-8:30 p.m. A dollar from every drink (choose from organic wines and local beers) will be donated to the Earth Day Network. Donations of over $25 receive a free drink at the Green Happy Hour.

COMEDY: Director, producer, and threat to airline safety Kevin Smith is holding a sold out question and answer session at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue at 8 p.m. tonight. If you’re dying to go, check out your options on Craigslist, but be prepared to spend $50 to $150.

CRAFTS: Check out jewelry, sculpture, and various types of art at the 28th Annual Smithsonian Craft Show tonight till 8 p.m. (doors opened at 10 a.m.) at the National Building Museum (401 F Street NW), which is a work of art in itself. Admission is $15. (If this seems familiar, it’s because I mistakenly included this in last Thursday’s About Tonight. I was so excited I couldn’t wait.)
