DCPS is expecting so many people to attend the public memorial service for slain Shaw Middle School at Garnet-Patterson principal Brian Betts that they’ve moved the event to the Music Center at Strathmore.

The public is invited to attend the event, set for Saturday, May 1 from 10-11:30 a.m. Current and former students, parents, colleagues, family and friends are especially encouraged to participate.

The Music Center at Strathmore is located at 5301 Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda.
