Stephen Strasburg, aka the future of the Nationals pitching staff, was promoted today to the Triple-A Syracuse Chiefs after just five starts with the Double-A Harrisburg Senators.
The Nationals announced the move on Tuesday, and Strasburg is expected to make his Triple-A debut on Friday against the Gwinnett Braves.
Strasburg posted some impressive stats while in Harrisburg: An ERA of just 1.64, 27 strikeouts and just six walks in 22 innings pitched.
