Little Brother

Little Brother will perform one final concert at the Black Cat on Friday.

Tuesday:
>> “Paige In Full” is a story about the development of a Baltimore girl’s identity and her interactions with hip-hop told through poetry, music and dance. “Full” is a collaboration between siblings Paige Hernandez and Nick da 1da and will have two preview showings (tonight and Wednesday) followed by a Thursday through Sunday schedule lasting to May 29th (Thursdays at 8 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.) at Flashpoint‘s Mead Theatre Lab. $TBA during preview/$20 in advance, 8 p.m.

Wednesday:
>> DJ Dredd plays the U Street Music Hall with a mix of hip-hop, soul and dance tunes. Free, 9 p.m.

Friday:
>> Local artists Candace Coles and Kev.O take to the Liv stage for their show tonight. $10 in advance/$15, 7:30 p.m.

>> All good things have to come to an end and the guys from Little Brother (pictured) have decided to call it quits after a decade together. But before they go, two-time DCist interviewee Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh are showing fans love on tour in support of their final album, Left Back. They’ll be at the Black Cat. $20, 9 p.m.

>> Producer and deejay Jay-J will spin his trademark West Coast funky house at Layla along with James Curd, FunkDC and Section 8. $15, 10 p.m.

Saturday:
>> Frequent visitor, Rich Medina, is back in the District at Eighteenth Street Lounge for a DJ set. $TBA, 9:30 p.m.
