MOVIES: As a part of Samurai Week, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the first Japanese diplomatic mission to the U.S., the Japan Information & Culture Center at the Embassy of Japan (Lafayette Centre III, lower level, 1155 21st Street NW) presents a screening of the film Yojimbo. READING: Author and visual artist Joel Church hosts a release party for his new book Fingerprints, a collection of very short, but vividly described stories, tonight at SOVA Wine Bar (1359 H St. NE). 7-10 p.m.
