Channel your inner Homer Simpson tomorrow. Friday is National Donut Day. Mmmm … donuts. Krispy Kreme will be giving out free donuts, while Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving out free donuts with beverage purchase.
Interestingly enough, National Donut Day is not just some food industry creation. Rather, it started as a fundraising event created by the Salvation Army that celebrated the women who gave out donuts to soldiers during World War I.
