Photo by Gerald L. CampbellGood morning, Washington. It’s a heat wave! Spring — all three weeks of it — sure was nice, wasn’t it? The third consecutive day of weather which could be best described as “thoroughly disgusting” has dawned and it appears as if Heather’s declaration that the usual, miserable D.C. summer had unofficially begun on Tuesday was spot on. Capital Weather Gang promises that a cold front will move its way into the area come Monday, but uses adjectives to describe today and tomorrow which I find wholly unacceptable. Muggy? Humid? Sticky? With each, the thermostat dial just gets dialed down another degree.

(But yeah, no pressure, kid.)
>> Local tanning businesses are kind of concerned about the impact that a new ten percent federal imposition will have on their bottom lines — but of course, such a tariff is nothing in comparison to the fear that their entire customer base will someday realize that they can just sit outside with a beer for free and obtain similar results.
>> And now for something entirely unsurprising: Don Peebles is still thinking about entering the mayoral race.
