Earlier it was a mechanical escalator error putting people out at the Dupont Circle Metro station. Now it appears a Red Line rail near Dupont Circle has cracked, causing delays along the Red Line in both direction. A Red Line trip will take longer today, as trains are single tracking between Van Ness and Dupont Circle. So expect delays — but you knew that already.
