FOOD & DRINK: Catch the premiere of Top Chef Season 7 tonight, 9 p.m., at blue-eyed judge on the show Eric Ripert’s restaurant Westend Bistro (1190 22nd St. NW) while you partake in food and drinks specials (like the Primo Margarita for $5). Westend Bistro will continue to air the show every Wednesday for the rest of season 7.

ROBOTS: HacDC hosts the first of its summer series of electronics workshops. The classes begin with an introduction to electronics and progress through intermediate topics over the course of 7–10 weeks. Tonight is the first intro session, but on June 23 they will repeat the intro for those who can’t make it tonight. Free, though tax-deductible donations are appreciated. READING: The Freer Gallery hosts William Dalrymple in the Meyer Auditorium reading from his book Nine Lives: In Search of the Sacred in Modern India. There will also be performances by Paban Das Baul, the Bauls of Bengal, and Shah Jo Raag Fakirs, described as “mystic minstrels from Bengal and a quartet of fakir singers.” Free, but tickets required, 7:30 p.m. Arrive at 6:45 p.m. for a Pre-Performance Gallery Tour on Arts of the Indian Subcontinent and the Himalayas.

HIP-HOP: The Can A Sista Rock A Mic? Festival continues with Chinah Blac headlining at Bohemian Caverns (2001 Eleventh Street NW) 8 p.m., $7.
