New head coach Mike Shanahan obviously wants to break down the secretive wall that his predecessors had erected around Redskins Park: according to this report, the new boss will welcome fans to a whopping 15 practice sessions during this summer’s training camp in Ashburn, Virginia. Camp opens on July 29, and ends on August 19. The transparency is a reversal in policy from previous Redskins coaches, who limited the public’s access to training camp (last year, the public was only invited to eight practices); though, considering the Redskins’ record over the last couple of years, it’s easy to understand why any coach would want to keep the public blissfully unaware of how bad the team actually was for as long as possible.
