After a three-day weekend of patriotism and debauchery, one would think Saturday and Sunday would be fairly humdrum. But for those of you heeding the call of weekend-manifest destiny, take note of a few obstacles to ford and add on some time to your commute.

Blue, Orange and Red lines undergoing renovations
A switch replacement at Rosslyn Metrorail station will delay Orange and Blue line trains coming from Court House and Arlington Cemetery, respectively. Trains will share tracks from Friday 10 p.m. to Sunday midnight.

Due to platform rehabilitation, trains between Shady Grove and Twinbrook Metrorail stations will share one track the entire weekend from Friday 10 p.m. to Sunday midnight.

Similar delays affect travelers between New York Ave-Florida Ave-Gallaudet U and Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metrorail stations due to bridge maintenance.
