>> “American Idol” winner and reality TV personality Fantasia is at the Birchmere for a show tonight and Wednesday. Both are sold out so you’re up to your own devices. 7:30 p.m.
>> Tied in with the breast cancer fundraiser, “Weed Week,” the “M & M Show” will be hosted by Mana and Mia Lone and feature several other artists whose monikers all happen to begin with the letter “M”: Medusa, Myka 9, Magic Heart Genies, Mana, Mia Lone, Madam Madon, Malik Starx, Muggsy Malone, Mental Stamina, Metro Kids and Mello-D. It’ll be taking place at Bohemian Caverns. Free for ladies ($5 for ladies under 21)/$20 for 21+/$25 under-21, 9 p.m.
Thursday:
>> In a departure from the normal show or DJ set, the VOICES series at the Hillyer Art Space will host an awareness event/fundraiser dealing with youth organizations/movements and hip-hop. The discussion will be hosted by Flex Mathews and moderated by Fred Joiner, with panelists from D.C.-area organizations as well as South Africa, Senegal and the Caribbean. All proceeds will go the South African organization, Heal The Hood. $5, 6 p.m.
>> Part of the 1980s British jazzy funk scene, Level 42 had a hit stateside with “Something About You.” After a hiatus and some lineup changes, they’re back and will be at the Birchmere. $49.50, 7:30 p.m.
>> With an album titled Album of The Year slated to come out in the next few months, Detroit emcee/producer Black Milk (pictured) is taking his show on the road and making a stop at D.C.’s Gibson Guitar Lounge (709 G Street NW). He’ll be joined by Dest.Roy.Ayers and Jerome Baker 3rd. $10, 8 p.m.
