MOVIES: Quintessential nineties movie Empire Records plays at the Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival (base of Key Bridge, 1300 Lee Hwy, Arlington) tonight. Three squeals for Rex Manning! 8 p.m., free.

PARTY: The Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H Street NE) unleashes its 1st Annual Summer’s Eve Party, with six DJs, free food and raffle prizes like two tickets to see every Rock and Roll Hotel event, show, and party for the rest of 2010 (there will be 10 winners for this prize). Tickets are tiered with options of: $15 (entrance and 1 raffle ticket), $25 (entrance, open bar from 6-11 p.m., and 2 raffle tickets), or $50 (entrance, open bar all night, and 3 raffle tickets). 6 p.m.
MAGIC: Take in a Midnight Magic Show with magicians David London and Josh Norris at Source (1835 14th Street NW). Doors open at 11:15 p.m., the free PBR lasts ’til midnight, and the show starts at 12:30 a.m. $20.
MUSIC: Hirshhorn After Hours (7th Street and Independence Avenue SW) presents DJs and drag tonight. See performances by Summer Camp, Karl Marks, Brandon Joseph Neukam, and Sunrize Highway while DJs Matt Bailer and Bil Todd set things spinning. 8 p.m. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance, are $18.

FASHION: It’s the first night of Temporium, a temporary store at 1300 H Street NE which showcases products from D.C. designers. Since tonight is the first night of the event, which runs through August 15, there will be DJs and live music. 6-10 p.m.
