TUESDAY

Probably one of the most recognizable faces in Brazilian music to American audiences, Seu Jorge has augmented his musical fame via a couple of high-profile film roles, first in the modern classic City of God, then in Wes Anderson’s The Life Aquatic, where he reimagined the songs of David Bowie in Portuguese for acoustic guitar. In his latest incarnation, Jorge is teaming with a trio of other musicians to form Seu Jorge and Almaz. Their debut record is a cover-heavy affair, with material coming from sources as diverse as Kraftwerk and Michael Jackson, as well as Brazilian sources. Jorge and Almaz play an early show tonight at the 9:30 Club. 6:00 p.m., $25.
