DATES: The group Generation-Obama is holding a Date Auction tonight at Bravo! Bravo! (1001 Connecticut Avenue NW). Before you head over, check out who you can bid on. A $10 donation gets you a raffle ticket and a bid card. The mixer begins at 7 p.m., the auction at 8 p.m.
ART: It’s a Christmas in July night of drawing and dancing at the Palace of Wonders’ (1210 H Street NE) “Sketching with Santa” show. Burlesque performers Devonshire Cream and GiGi Holliday will be on hand to shake their stuff, while artists are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks. Doors open at 6 p.m., sketching and show go from 8-10 p.m. $7.
FITNESS: Lace-up those kicks and hit the pavement with the 6th in the City Running Club, a running group for the 20-30 year old crowd. Meet at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue at 6:30 p.m. It’s $12 to join (find tickets here) but that includes a t-shirt and headband.
