MONDAY
It’s the first Monday since Fort Reno’s unceremonious close on Thursday. (Again, bad weather = booooo.) But for anyone still itching to catch local acts on a Monday night, the Black Cat is your best bet. They’ll be hosting Godisheus, which reads like an all-star list of funky local musicians with emcee Head-Roc fronting the whole troupe. Violet Says 5 and The Farafina Kan Experience open. $10, 8:30 p.m.
>> Velvet Lounge: Moombahton Mondays with DJ Dave Nada. Free, 9 p.m.
TUESDAY
Admittedly, he was a punchline after his short-lived marriage to Julia Roberts, but Lyle Lovett’s career hasn’t lasted this long by accident. His combination of country, blue-eyed soul and good humor continue to enchant his fans and he’ll be doing more of that at Wolf Trap. $25 (lawn)/$42 (in-house) 7:30 p.m.
>> Black Cat: Miniature Tigers, The Spinto Band and Oh So Peligroso. $10/$12, 8:30 p.m.
