MUSIC: Rodrigo y Gabriela, the two-member band that melds flamenco guitar with rock and heavy metal, comes to Wolf Trap tonight with Australian one-man band Xavier Rudd. 8 p.m., $25-$75.

MOVIE: See a screening of Symphony of the Soil, a film on the importance of soil, presented by the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital and FRESHFARM Markets, at the Embassy of France (4101 Reservoir Road NW). There will also be a discussion with a panel of speakers, including Ann Yonkers from FRESHFARM Markets, film director Deborah Koons Garcia, Chef Cathal Armstrong (Restaurant Eve, Majestic, and Eammons), sommelier and writer Derek Brown (The Passenger and The Columbia Room), and Zach Lester (Tree and Leaf Farm). A reception be provided after the film, featuring a special cocktail by Derek Brown and small bites from Benjamin Lambert of Restaurant Nora. 6:30 p.m., $30.

FOOD & DRINK: Head to D.C. Bread and Brew (1247 20th Street NW) for an Abita Beer tasting in support of the Gulf Coast oil spill cleanup. Abita beers included in the tasting are Purple Haze, Restoration Ale, Turbo Dog, and Save Our Shores Pilsner (a new beer meant to support the cleanup). Also enjoy some cajun food for an additional price. 7 p.m., $25.
