Reports by The Triangle and TBD confirm a rumor which had hit our tipline overnight: Results, The Gym’s location inside the CityVista development at 445 K Street NW will be closing its doors on September 1. Members of the gym will receive notice about the closing today. Based on reports and sources, it sounds like Results had plenty of issues to contend with at the location, including a large property tax bill, problems with flooding and a lag in the development of the surrounding area — but of course, the main reason the gym is shuttering is because they just couldn’t attract enough members to make the numbers work. Those who use the gym will likely be able to transfer to another Results location or have any remaining prepaid balance returned to them.
