Photo by pablo.raw.Good morning, Washington. Michelle Rhee’s wedding is off! Well, temporarily, at least. The Sacramento Bee reports that the Chancellor and her fiance, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, informed guests planning on attending their September 4 wedding that they are changing the date and location of the ceremony — oh, and that most of them are no longer invited. In a statement, the couple admitted to underestimating the “the intensity of interest in the wedding,” and that they are now planning “a special and personal event that is respectful of the sanctity of marriage.” If you’re feeling blue about the postponement, send the pair a gift — J. Freedom du Lac found the couple’s online wedding registry.

No injuries were reported, and arson investigators are looking for clues.
