The DCist Flickr pool is flush with shots of summer’s last gasps. Last bike rides. Last weekend trips. Last of the summer fruitful bounty. This particular shot by reminds us of another ubiquitous fixture of the fading backyard BBQ: string lights. Pretty soon we’ll be huddled in front of a glowing TV, cursing Jack Frost and ruing the summer’s last opportunities. In other words, happy Labor Day.
