- The Washington Post apparently took some liberties with the headline of Kojo Nnamdi’s excellent Sunday Outlook op-ed. Kojo even left a comment on the Post’s site dubbing the headline of his essay “a complete distortion of my point of view.”
- City Paper runs hard with the blowjob angle on this story about the planned renovation at the Union Station men’s room made famous by Larry Craig, but as someone who travels on Amtrak rather frequently, it’s just kind of nice to know that I won’t have to worry as much about slipping in a puddle of sweat and urine while using the restroom inside Union Station.
- You can now get WMATA information on Bing Maps, which beats Google to the punch. Of course, getting the most of the service actually requires that you actually use Bing on a regular basis, so its practical usefulness for most of you may be negligible.

- Starting October 2, the Department of Public Works will only be operating hazardous waste/e-cycling/document shredding services at 4900 John F. McCormack Road NE once per month, on the first Saturday of each month. You can still pick up compost at or bring bulk trash items to the center weekdays between 1 and 5 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
