The festival will showcase “film and photography from indigenous and underrepresented minority cultures around the globe.” A pass for the complete festival is $144, or you can pay per film. Tonight, see Reel Injun, a “humorous mash up of more than 50 years of Hollywood film stereotypes of American Indians.” 7 p.m. Tickets $10.
POETRY: Take the mic and lay down some meters and rhymes at the Beltway Poetry Slam tonight at The Fridge (516 8th Street SE). Poets should arrive (with two original pieces) at 7:30 p.m. to sign up, while audience members should be in by 8 p.m. for the show’s start. Sonya Renee, National Individual Poetry Slam Champion, will also be performing. $5.
