Good morning Washington. For the brave among us traveling around town this morning, you may have experienced the Metro quagmire as a result of this weekend’s track work. Just as a reminder: Farragut West and McPherson Square Metrorail stations, as well as Metro Center’s orange/blue lines, are closed off for the three-day holiday weekend. But with today’s amazing — and most likely short-lived weather — there’s no excuse to hop off the Metro a stop early and walk the rest of the way. Hell, if Columbus can cross an ocean, the least you can do is walk across K Street.

According to Prince William Police, Nicole Corbett called EMS for a possible overdose after discovering her child had ingested an unknown amount of marijuana. The two were also charged with possession. In other news, Sesame Street has never been more entertaining.

Superior Court Judge Gerald Fisher will allow Levy’s mother, Susan Levy, to attend the entire trial, even though She will likely take the witness stand. Victim’s rights groups had been lobbying for Susan Levy to be allowed to watch the trial, despite the fact that witness testimonies can be viewed as tainted by listening to the proceedings. The judge also ruled on a number of other potential witnesses including a Loyola Law School professor and a number of the accused’s prison acquaintances.
