MOVIE: The original cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 comes to the Lisner Auditorium (730 21st Street NW) tonight as part of their the Cinematic Titanic live tour. They’ll take on 1968 Japanese sci-fi thriller War of the Insects. 8 p.m. $10-$35.

>> The DC Labor Film Fest at AFI Silver Theatre (8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring) celebrates (and commiserates with) workers through a variety of films. Tonight at 7 p.m., catch Louise-Michel, a comedy about female factory workers who hire a hitman to get their boss; at 9 p.m., see a supermarket security guard’s obsession for a cleaning lady in Gigante. The film fest continues through October 20 and will also be showing Fast Food Nation, The Informant!, Office Space and a number of other films. Each screening is $10.
COMEDY: Mike Birbiglia, who has contributed his hilarious life tales to This American Life numerous times, comes to the Warner Theatre (1299 Pennsylvania Avenue NW) tonight to tell some more “Painfully True Stories.” 8 p.m. Tickets $69.50.
FOOD & DRINK: Baltimore Beer Week finishes up this weekend with a number of toast-worthy and entertaining events. Tonight, catch Blues guitarist Bobby Parker at the Blues & Brews Festival being held at 8×10 (10 East Cross Street, Baltimore). Heavy Seas Beers is sponsoring the event and providing the brews. 7 p.m.-1 a.m. $17.
ART: The DC Arts Center (2438 18th Street NW) presents an opening reception tonight for artist Anthony Stellacio’s sculpture exhibit, “Handle the Axe.” In this set of work, Stellacio draws from the Judaic riddle, “from the forest itself, comes the handle for the axe.” 7-9 p.m. Free.
