Finally, after a huge 2.5 year $135 million remodel, Arena Stage is back open. Anchoring the burgeoning Waterfront neighborhood, Arena is celebrating its opening with a plethora of free events — today, of note:

• Sneak previews of their inaugural show, Oklahoma!, every hour on the hour (started at 1 p.m. through 5 p.m.).
• Backstage tours, every 15 minutes through 5:15.
• Various live performances at their outdoor stage.
• Performances at Keeger Theater from Tony award winners and nominees.
• Children’s activities at the classroom through 5:30.

After all of the inaugural events, the first weekend of Oklahoma! will debut tonight at the Fichandler Stage. And to celebrate further, Arena will throw a huge, fancy gala on the 25th featuring Honorary Chairs Mr. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, as well as Honorary Co-Chairs Mayor Fenty and Michelle Fenty.
