MOVIE: AFI Silver Theatre (8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring) embraces the lingering creepiness from Halloween with a showing of The Night of the Hunter, the second-to-last movie in their Film Noir Festival. 7 p.m. $10.

CLASSICAL: The Syndicate, a newly-formed collective of local performers and composers, hosts Ruckus playing solo chamber works at Catholic University’s Ward Recital Hall. 8 p.m. Free.
