  • There’s an election happening in the District tomorrow, you know. Find your polling place here. Speaking of which, there’s some last minute robocalling going around related to the initiative on whether the District should elect its attorney general.
  • D.C. attorney general Peter Nickles and his subpoena on Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. will be the subject of a court hearing tomorrow morning. Thomas is fighting Nickles’ demand that he open up the books on his fundraising.
  • Amanda Hess has the intriguing story of George Washington women’s basketball player Kye Allums, who could become the first openly transgender player in NCAA Division I history.

  • Former representative Gary Condit took the stand today in the Chandra Levy murder trial — but he refused to answer questions about whether he had a sexual relationship with Levy before her death. Condit described Levy as “a constituent and a friend of mine.”
  • D.C. United’s team MVP is a 17-year-old, and their best defensive player is a guy who only joined the team four months ago. This pretty much says it all about how United’s season went this year.
  • Strange story out of Arlington: investigators say that a former Army officer, Gene C. McKinney, hit a man he had picked up in a slug line, after the man complained about his erratic driving and then tried to take a picture of McKinney’s license plate.
