U.S. Park Police have closed the National Mall between 4th and 7th Streets NW this afternoon to investigate a suspicious vehicle that is parked in front of the Air and Space Museum on Jefferson Drive. All vehicular and pedestrian traffic has been diverted from the area, and a bomb squad has reportedly been called to the scene. Obviously, if you’re leaving the office soon, you should avoid the area.
