STORYTELLING: SpeakeasyDC hosts another night of live storytelling at Town Danceboutique (2009 8th Street NW), featuring true stories on the theme Pick on Someone Your Own Size: Stories about bullies and guardian angels. Sign up online to tell your story at a future SpeakEasyDC night. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show runs from 8-10 p.m. $10 cover, additional $10 for an all-you-can eat buffet from Nellie’s.

FOOD & DRINK: Capitol City Brewing Company (1100 New York Avenue NW) is celebrating its 2,000th Batch of Brew tonight, an American style IPA appropriately called “2G-IPA.” There will be beer and food specials, as well as brewers on hand to talk about the beer. 7-10 p.m.

MUSIC: April Smith and the Great Picture Show draws inspiration from the “’30s and ’40s, juke joints and cabaret.” See them perform tonight at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage (2700 F Street NW). 6 p.m. Free.

CLASSICAL: The Library of Congress presents cellist Gautier Capuçon and pianist Gabriela Montero, performing pieces by Rachmaninov, Prokofiev and Mendelssohn tonight at the Coolidge Auditorium (Thomas Jefferson Building, Library of Congress, First Street and Independence Avenue SE). Tickets are technically free, but Tickmaster includes a $2.75 service charge. You can try your luck by showing up early and seeing if there are any remaining seats if you don’t want to pay the fee. 8 p.m.

TALK: Casey Scieszka and Steven Weinberg, an author/illustrator couple, come to the Bethesda Library (7400 Arlington Rd., Bethesda) as part of the Fall Feast for the Senses to talk about their graphic novel To Timbuktu, which details their travels in Asia and West Africa. 7:30 p.m. Free.
