Veterans Day — yet another one of those holidays where many non-federal employees still have to show up to the office — is tomorrow, and just like Columbus Day, Metro and other local transit agencies will be operating on modified schedules. Metrorail will operate on a Saturday schedule, though the system will open at 5 a.m. and close at midnight, as it would on a weekday. Metrobus has several routes that will not be in operation tomorrow in Maryland and Virginia — a full list of those routes can be found in a PDF we’ve embedded after the jump, which outlines Metro’s new modified holiday schedule.

Virginia Railway Express is completely off tomorrow, while MARC will only operate trains which have a “S” notation on the system’s schedule. Several other regional transit operators will run on a holiday or limited schedule — consult your transit operator of choice for details.

Also: the District’s Department of Public Works has announced that there will be no trash pickup tomorrow, while metered parking, residential parking zones and rush hour lane restrictions will not be enforced. Parking at all Metro lots will be free all day tomorrow too.
