MUSIC: It’s a 90s ska revival at the 9:30 Club (815 V Street. NW), with performances by Reel Big Fish and The Aquabats, along with Suburban Legends and Koo Koo Kanga Rooplay. Doors open at 6 p.m. $25.

MOVIES: AFI Silver Theatre’s (8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring) European Union Film Showcase continues with three options: The City Below at 6:30 p.m., Men In Rut at 7 p.m., and Bad Family at 9:15 p.m. $10 for each film.

  • Thanksgiving Day: Not so great in the kitchen? Eat at Art and Soul (415 New Jersey Avenue NW) and experience a Southern-style Thanksgiving with buttermilk biscuits and buttermilk mashed potatoes, bourbon maple glazed ham, turkey, collard greens and more. Registration for the Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger in D.C. is closed, but you can still sign up for the Turkey Chase, a 10k or two-mile fun run in Bethesda at 8:30 a.m. (9401 Old Georgetown Road), or the Alexandria Turkey Trot, a five-mile race that begins at 10 a.m. (Cora Kelly School, 3600 Commonwealth Avenue, Alexandria), though registration closes Tuesday.
