Reel Big Fish play the 9:30 Club tonight.

Long live ska. It turns out that The Aquabats have been doing more than creating bizarre children’s programming and Reel Big Fish are still playing shows, almost 15 years after releasing the ironically titled “Sellout.” Both will be co-headlining at the 9:30 Club tonight with ska workhorses Suburban Legends and Koo Koo Kanga Roo opening. Embrace the horn section. $25, 7:00 p.m.

TUESDAY

Swedish singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez has already proven that he can soothe our nerves with his beautifully stirring solo material. With Junip, he joins forces with long-time bandmembers Elias Araya and Tobias Winterkorn to showcase a sound that’s more rocking and less introspective than we’re used to from Gonzalez. Lost in the Trees opens the show at the Black Cat. $15, 8:00 p.m.
