Following the film will be a question and answer session with the Rollergirls and the film’s director Bob Ray. Preceding the film at 7:15 p.m. will be a showing of another of Ray’s movies, Total Badass. 9:50 p.m. $8 each film.
>> The Washington Psychotronic Film Society presents a screening of Phantom of the Paradise, a modern Rock Opera take on the Phantom of the Opera, at The Passenger (1021 7th Street NW). Following the film, Mike White, creator and editor of the cult film zine Impossibly Funky, and author of a book based on the magazine, will be on hand for a book signing. 8 p.m. Free, but a $2 donation is suggested.

FOOD & DRINK: It’s the fifth annual Don’t Hassle the Hofbräu Fest, an ode to David Hasslehoff and German beers, at Rustico in Alexandria (827 Slaters Lane). Come dressed in 80s and early 90s apparel, or as the Hoff himself. Hofbräu beers (Oktoberfestbier, Münchner Weisse and Dunkeln & Original) will be $6 to $8 per half liter, and you get to take home the stein they come in. 6-9 p.m. Free admission.
MUSIC: Jose Gonzalez‘s band Junip, which includes Elias Araya and Tobias Winterkorn, performs at Black Cat (1811 14th Street NW) along with Lost in the Trees. 8 p.m., $15.
